Clive played at the Brods in the late 70’s/early 80’s, coached junior teams through the 90’s and the 00’s, is our current Senior Rugby Chair and a key member of our volunteer workforce affectionally known at the “Friday Club”. He is also a committed member of the Brods Cycling Club!

“To become President of this fantastic club is a real honour.”, Clive commented.
“Hopefully exciting times ahead and I am pleased to be asked to preside over the next two years and help keep the club moving forward.”

His first official duty will be hosting this year’s President’s Ball on Friday 3rd May in the Moorlands Grand Pavilion at Ogden. The role of President here at the Brods is currently been held posthumously by Richard Turner. 2023 was a terribly upsetting year for the club and the friends and family of the Brods legend better know as Bruce. The world only found out about his illness last February and we all lost a huge force when he past away just a few months later in May.

No one will ever replace Brucey and his legacy and immeasurable impact with be with us always. In Clive, it's so good to see we have another passionate, positive President who will stand with people and take people with him. We're lucky once again to have another great figurehead.
