Brods looking strong for visit of Otley in a must win game!

Brods 2nd XV welcome back several key players this week and despite still missing 4 or 5 regulars, still have a strong line up.

Brods have Stevie Shaw, Gareth Simpson,James Davidson and Chris Green unavailable this week through injury but welcome back Kieran Nalton, James Marshall, Perry Wilson and Martin Jackson.

Without a win in the Yorkshire Premier league so far this is a must win game for the young Brods squad and Adam Standeven will be looking for a similar attitude, commitment and defensive quality as has been shown in narrow losses to Harrogate and Hull Ionians. Training this week has focused on the lineout and retaining possesion through several phases.

The pack will be key, Brods have a red hot looking back line but must have the ball if they are to show off their talent. James Dale and Jordan Shiel will have big roles to play whilst Rob Bradley and Luke Donlan are all in the selectors minds and need to contimue their good form.

Brods have massive competition in the centre, Pete Leeming and James Marshall getting the nod this week but with Nathan Scott promoted to the 1st XV Andy Clay will be given the opportunity to impress from the bench.

Brods will hope for a big backing from the Woodhead support with the 1st XV way at Middlesborough in North 1 East.

Be good!!
