By Richard Turner, OBRUFC President

It's another busy weekend at Woodhead and we'd like to give a warm welcome to everyone who will be joining us.

In particular we'd like to welcome the players, officials and supporters of Scarborough RUFC and Glossop Women for two big fixtures plus all our returning former players.

Saturday: Men's 1st XV
Our friends from Scarborough are enjoying a pretty good season, sat comfortably in 4th in Regional 2 North East. Back in October we travelled to Silver Royd and came second with a scoreline of 40-28. Im sure we will have yet another hard-fought encounter on Saturday and please find the team below.

A big thankyou to Paul Turner and Konsileo our Men's 1st XV match day sponsors. Thank you for your support and we hope you enjoy your day.

The Beavers XV is also in action on Saturday with and away trip to Bramley 2nds so good luck gents.

The club is delighted to be hosting what I hope will become an annual event once more with our former players reunion. It has been a real pleasure speaking to so many old pals and the response has been terrific resulting in one of our biggest lunch time attendances in the clubhouse.

After the match and into the evening we have an entertaining Race Night and everyone is more than welcome. It's free to attend, the first race starts at 7.30pm and the kitchen will be open until 8pm serving chilli and chips and hot roast sandwiches.

Sunday: Ladies XV
On Sunday it's a top of the table clash for our Ladies XV here at Woodhead kicking off at 2pm. Our ladies are currently undefeated, sitting at the top of their league. Second placed Glossop, who has only lost once this season, are in town hoping for an upset.

There's also plenty of junior rugby on Sunday including our Colts with a tough home match against Wharfedale.
