Winter Wonderland

The weather was always going to play a key part in this rearranged 3 -way fixture and it did not disappoint!

The pitch was moved to a suitable playing surface, which whilst setting up was subjected to hail and snow, preparing the girls for a heavy and slippery surface.

The Rochdale girls split themselves between Littleborough and Brodettes, showing great sportsmanship throughout.

The Brodettes playing up the hill adopted quicker and faster to the weather and pitch conditions, keeping the ball close and tight with some solid straight running and good support play delivering some early unanswered scores.

Quick thinking from a wayward Brodettes kick-off gave Littleborough their opportunity to opening their scoring with some good individual play, but this was to be their only score.

The hail stones arrived, followed by snow and then all wrapped in wonderful mud.

The strength of the Brodettes continued in the early session of the second half, using the slope of the pitch to their advantage scoring two quick scores.

All girls played with passion and with character, betraying their young ages as they showed to true core values - a great credit to their Clubs and parents.
