As Woodhead Park bounces to the beat of the Brodstock musicians, spare a thought for the team of six pounding the streets of Calderdale and Kirklees as they take on a massive physical challenge.

Chris Green, Gareth Standeven, James Horne, Craig Wood, Jonny Brearley and Simon Taylor will depart from the festival Main Stage at 7am on Saturday 22nd June embarking on an epic 40 mile circular run via another seven local rugby union clubs.

Their route takes them from the Brods to Halifax RUFC, Halifax Vandals, Old Crossleyans, Old Rishworthians, Heath, Huddersfield Laund Hill, Huddersfield RUFC before finishing, mid-afternoon, back at the Brodstock Main Stage.

The team is raising money for Brighouse-based Focus4Hope and our community rugby club.
