On Saturday 14th December it will be battle royale as our old rivals from Broomfield roll in to Hipperholme. It’s always a closely fought contest and the Old Crossleyans will have a renewed spring in their step following a great win over Moortown last Saturday. Plus they may sense a clear opportunity as, despite Brods’ strong start to the season, our lads have faulted in the past two outings with losses at Wetherby and then home to Morley.

The match kicks off at 2.15pm and we’re looking forward to welcoming a bumper derby day crowd.

For those looking for hospitality before the match, the clubhouse is open from noon and lunch is available 12.30 til 1.30 in the shape of our popular Woodhead Buffet. Simply head to the clubhouse kitchen for a choice of hot roast beef or pork sarnies with proper gravy and chunky chips.

In addition, thanks to our matchday sponsor Vocation Brewery, you’ll find an extra bar in the clubhouse this weekend showcasing the award-winning “Crush Hour” pale ale.

This Saturday there is actually two big matches at home at our Men’s 2nd XV also kick off at 2.15pm, against the visiting Keighley.
