We are very grateful to have recently been awarded a grant of £1000 from the Arnold Clark Community Fund to be spent on new rugby equipment that's of benefit to all playing members.
As the new season approached James Ogden applied on behalf of the club to be included in the community fund's weekly draws and we're delighted to be one of the many community groups to receive a funding boost.
With playing numbers at an all-time high in the club's 91 year history there is a huge on-going effort to make sure the facilities and infrastructure grows with the levels of participation here in Hipperholme. Our numbers are currently so high due to the solid foundations of our three senior mens teams, junior teams at every age group (starting with our Under 6s), the arrival of our "Brods Tots" for 3, 4 and 5 year olds, the continued success of our girls teams and the superb progression of our Senior Ladies XV.
Last year, despite the pandemic; members and friends of the club rallied around to back our Project90 campaign and successfully supported some key additions to the club's training facilities that would have otherwise been held up due the fallout from the Covid-19 outbreak. Work continues today and we look forward to having new floodlit training pitches next year.
The Arnold Clark Community Funding will be spent solely on new rugby equipment as we look to upgrade old items as well as increasing what's available for our teams' training sessions.
Thank you Arnold Clark!
