Over the weekend we heard the sad news that Jean Hopkinson had passed away. Jean was 93.

Our immediate thoughts turn to sons David, Stephen, Paul, the rest of the family and closest friends.

Jean, wife to Eddie and a former nurse, was a strong woman with a heart of gold. She was also a key member of our original ladies committee for decades making a formidable team with the likes of Barbara Horner and Vera Hamer, fundraising and making the teas every Saturday.

The funeral will be held at 9.45am on Monday 30 March at Park Wood, Elland.
