We have just received the sad news that John Watson, Clem, passed away earlier today Saturday 13th February in hospital. John (Clem) had been struggling with his health for some time and he had been unable to get to Woodhead for some time prior to lockdown.
Clem was a larger than life character, long term member, volunteer and supporter of the club and was full of encouragement both on and off the field. The epitome of a true club man he was always willing to assist wherever and whenever he could. He will be missed by us all and our thoughts are with the family.
Unfortunately we will be unable to celebrate his life at the place he loved for the time being. We will however do so when it is safe but in the meantime our sincere condolences and rest in peace John
