If you’re looking to pay your membership for the 2024/25 season please follow the link HERE to do it all online.
If you'd prefer, you can also pay in person over the bar by asking the bar staff for a membership form.
This Saturday (31st August) Membership Secretary Mark Turner will be at the club from 1.45pm if you need any support or have any questions. Plus we'll be able to help anyone in the clubhouse on Junior Signing On Day (Sunday 8th September).
Your Brods “ClubCard”
With any of our memberships you will receive a Brods Member's Card. This is important as it gives you great perks throughout the season such as drinks discounts in the clubhouse (10% on most products - which can be the equivalent of 50p off most pints), £2 off matchday entry for all home 1st XV matches, regular discounts in the clubhouse kitchen, guaranteed tickets to Bonfire Night/Brodstock and many more benefits (...just scan the QR code on your card to see everything available to members).
If you already have a membership card from last year please keep using your old card. Once you renew your membership we can reactivate the chip inside your card so it keeps giving you your benefits until next September.
If you’re a new member; your card will be left behind the Brods bar for you to collect just one week following your membership payment. Simply let the bar staff know your name and they will handover your card.
Types of membership
If you follow the link above you'll see there's a number of member options available. Obviously we'd be delighted if anyone was prepared to become a Life Member or take up the opportunity to buy a 10 Year Membership, however our most popular membership are the Full Membership at £60 for the year. Every playing member, junior or senior, must be on the £60 tariff for insurance purposes and to have full voting rights at AGM's, EGM's or to join the General Committee. There's is also a £30 Social Membership available.
The Junior Parent Membership did cause some confusion last year so hopefully this will answer some of the questions you might have. This membership is free, however, you must have purchased a Full Membership for a child in order to then request the free Junior Parent Membership. Once requested, the Parent will then be able to collect a membership card.
Why membership is so important
To put it simply; the Brods, like so many other grassroots sports club, is run following a membership model. Elected officers (who must be members themselves) form the Committee that run the club with a clear remit to ensure they are meeting the needs of all members in accordance to our aim and Article of Association. It's the members, through the Committee and the AGM, that agree every year what the membership rates should be to run the club sustainably and viably.
We are a not-for-profit organisation with CASC (Community Amateur Sports Club) status.
