Old Brods travelled to Huddersfield to face an undoubtedly tough game, against their local rivals.
The first half kicked off with Huddersfield on the attack but great defensive work by Brods allowed them to come up with the ball. A great chase down the wing saw Tom Wilson take the first try of the game.
Huddersfield remained strong and the game was a physical battle throughout, with their game style very forwards focused. This made Brods work hard as a unit and showed their development as a team in keeping to their own style of play and keeping to their own game plan. However Huddersfield constant drive led to the next try , ending half time 5-5.
Brods returned for the second half of play, with discipline and clear heads to take advantage of Huddersfield giving away penalties and Tom Wilson added the points 5-8.Huddesrfield could never be underestimated though and their strength in forwards and pace from their backs saw them score the next try to take the lead, 10-8.Brods regathered and battled throughout the second half with great resilience in both defence and attack. They did well in both lineout and scrummaging .Keeping their focus and getting the ball out to the backs resulted in a fast paced solo try down the wing for Alex Snowball score ,10-13.This was quickly supported by great play from Conor Pollard with his great inside stepping to take the next try under the posts , Wilson converting 10-20. Huddesrfield responded with the final try of the game 15-20.
A very physical game of strength and determination by both tems with Brods coming out successors due to a solid team effort.
